Peter Kokosiouli – Rocket Scientist, All Round Genius and Founder

Peter started his career 16 years ago as a ‘traditional’ Programmer and embraced the corporate world when IT was in its infancy. From the beginning, he has built his extensive knowledge of the new media sector from a variety of experiences such as freelancing, managing development teams, producing corporate events, developing corporate software and working for large start-ups during the dot com boom.

During this time Pete has had the pleasure of working with high profile clients like Microsoft, Hillbank, Momentum, Softline, Live Technology and Mcgregor BFANo. For the last 10 years, Peter has also been intimately involved in the Beauty Industry locally and in Europe. He has worked closely with Comfort Zone, Skin Sphere International and Camelot International Spa Group just to name a few. These days, Peter focuses most of his time on the expansion of Salon Management Studio. He is responsible for creating software that literally leaves Salon Owners with their mouths hanging open. His software is innovative, yet easy to use and is always packed with features that really work for the Beauty Industry. Balancing big business knowledge with small business practices, Pete creates software that works for you and makes a real difference to your business! When he is not working in Spa’s and Salons or Beauty Colleges, He can usually be found with the phone permanently stuck to his ear, communicating on Skype, reading up on all the latest web trends and developing and growing the Salon Management Studio suite of products. Vaughan Owgan: Bth, Qba, Fsstnss

Vaughan has literally grown up and lived his whole life in the beauty industry. Some of his earliest memories include spending his days in a family owned Hairdressing Salon in the South of Jo’burg. I guess that’s why he doesn’t have any hair today! Before he got together with Peter, Vaughan was involved in supplying Spa’s and Salon’s all over South Africa with Nail and Beauty Products. While working one on one with Salon Owners, he saw the desperate need for business support and training within the Industry. With the South African Market being flooded with so many Spa’s and Salons simply being a skilled Therapist is no longer enough to guarantee success – you also have to be a skilled businessperson.

His business philosophy is simple, “If my clients don’t succeed, I don’t succeed.” Because he is passionate about the way small businesses work, Vaughan spends much of his time training Salon Owners to become better Businesswomen. By the way, if the training doesn’t help your business, you get your money back.

Vaughan’s experience includes, sales, marketing, setting up beauty businesses, consulting with Spa’s, Salons and Industry Suppliers.  Vaughan is regularly invited to speak at leading industry conferences. These include Professional Beauty Conferences, SAAHSP Lectures, Les Nouvelles Esthetique Spa Conference and the EOHCB. He also writes on business for Professional Beauty, Les Nouvelles and Absolute Nails. In 2010, Vaughan was invited to Europe to facilitate business training with Salon Owners from 36 countries around the world.
